Our first date!!!! POV: Julia.......... I had just moved to Charlotte a month prior without knowing anyone in the city. If you know me you know I loveeee people so that would not work for me! SO I downloaded the dating app Hinge having zero expectations of finding love, lol. I just wanted to know more people!!! ............ Thats when I saw a cute boy on the app named Charles and we exchanged numbers! ............... I am very Type B and if you know me you knowww I hate making plans and texting. I knew I liked Charles because I could not stop texting him!! If you read his POV you'll know that my version of "texting" was not his version of "texting"...SORRY I responded every other day xoxox, lol. .................. But because making plans gives me anxiety I told him if he wants to hangout with me just text me a couple hours in advance and I would say yes/no if I was free. He has been the planner in our relationship since day 1 haha. ................ Anywayyyy, around 5PM on a Monday evening I get a text from Charles asking if I wanted to go out. I had just finished a yoga class and had no plans so I said yes I would love to! ........................ He planned a date at Salud (a cute little wine and pizza bar) and picked me up at 7! When he picked me up in his 2013 Toyota Corolla I was instantly hooked. Lol just kidding, but when he got out of his car and I saw him wearing a cast for his broken arm I was soldddd. (kidding again kind of). ..................... Over the next four hours at the wine bar we bonded over our shared music taste, trauma dumping, and giggling at everything. We seemed to align on quite literally everything and I remember feeling a wave of comfort from just sitting with him. It felt like I was catching up with a lifelong bff except he was hot!! ........................ ANYWAYS we kept hanging out ever since and now we are getting MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!! Charles is quite literally the best thing to ever happen to me. He matches me on every emotion, joke, sweet treat craving, hobby, etc I could go ON and ON. I am the luckiest girl in the world <3

Charles's first impression/date POV: As someone who moved to a new city and started working at the beginning of 2020, the 2 years that followed did not feel real. My job had gone remote, meeting new people was put on pause, and I could get by with not cutting my hair for months on end (still do this tbh)... as more of Charlotte started to open up, I decided to download Hinge just to meet more people as well as give myself a reason to get a haircut. In comes Julia - MATCH. Now Julia probably mentioned this in her POV, but it’s so funny to look back because I did not think based on our initial conversations that anything with her would blossom, but not because of dry conversation or nothing in common… it was BECAUSE this girl would quite literally take 24-30 hours to respond to any message from me hahaha. But alas, even the drawn out conversations intrigued me enough to ask her on a last minute Monday date (she told me that planning one out would stress her out). We went to a local bottle shop and both somehow nursed 2 beers over 4 hours because I don’t think either of us wanted to get up - I remember it felt so natural and I just wanted to know as much as I could about the person in front of me. We head back and as we pull up to Julia’s house, she invites me inside and BOOM she has a dog? I remember thinking at the time that it was so hot that she didn’t mention that she had a dog (I was not a dog person at the time). Fast forward and that dog - Willa, is now my dog, too (but I’m way less coy about her). As I’m meeting Willa, Julia pulls out her phone and asks if I want to be in a Tik Tok. I introduce myself to the “Tik Tok” and then left to go home. On the drive home, stressing, I was trying to recall everything I said on the date because I thought that Julia was a “Dating Influencer”: aka a modern day Carrie Bradshaw but instead of a dating column, has a “Dating Tik Tok”. She never really confirmed or denied and to this day, we’re still known to record Tik Toks on our date nights here and there. The next weekend, I invited Julia to a house party and the rest in history! I can’t wait to marry the most special, kind, and beautiful person in the world. Every day with her is a good day.

When Charles met Willa, it was very obvious that Charles was not a dog person nor was Willa a man person. Willa quickly realized that this man wasn't going anywhere though and with a little help of some treats Charles surpassed me as Willa's #1 fav human, lol ugh. I get it though<3
